5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
5.1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the website operator. Cookies can be "session cookies" (which expire when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them).
5.2 Types of Cookies We Use
We use the following categories of cookies on the Site:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging into your account, filling in forms, or setting privacy preferences. Without these cookies, services you have requested cannot be provided.
- Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site by collecting and reporting information anonymously or in aggregate. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions, track traffic sources, and measure user behavior on the Site. Information generated by these cookies is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. For more information about Google Analytics and how to opt out, please visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Functional Cookies: These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your search preferences, language settings, or geographic location for provider directory filtering. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have integrated.
- Targeting and Advertising Cookies: These cookies may be set through the Site by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
5.3 Web Beacons and Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs), embedded scripts, and similar tracking technologies on the Site and in our emails to collect information about your interactions with our content, measure the effectiveness of our communications, and track delivery of emails.

- Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals to websites. Because there is no uniform standard for how to respond to these signals, our Site does not currently change its data collection and use practices in response to "Do Not Track" signals. We will revisit this policy as industry standards develop.
